Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) Programme

Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) Programme

At Union Hospital, a multidisciplinary team including paediatricians, psychiatrists, clinical psychologists and speech therapists provides professional assessment and guidance for children who may benefit from behavioural and developmental support.

Where appropriate, families may also be referred to our partner service providers who offer structured ABA training programmes. Our team works with parents to help identify suitable support options for each child.

What is ABA Programme?

ABA is a scientifically validated approach that focuses on understanding and improving specific behaviours, such as social skills, communication, and adaptive learning skills. It involves breaking down complex tasks into small, manageable steps in a positive and encouraging environment. Progress is tracked through data, allowing strategies to be adjusted quickly for optimal outcomes and long-term growth.

Programme Highlights
  • Internationally Recognised Standards: Programmes are designed and supervised by Board Certified Behaviour Analysts (BCBA) and delivered by Registered Behaviour Technicians (RBT).
  • One-to-One Therapy: Tailored individual sessions ensure children receive consistent support in the most suitable environment.
  • AI and IoT Progress Tracking: Smart therapeutic learning systems create personalised education plans and monitor progress, supporting children’s developmental needs.
  • Assessment and Personalised Goals: Detailed assessments using VB-MAPP (for children under 5) or ABLLS-R (for children under 10) set age-appropriate and ability-based goals.
  • Collaboration with Medical Professionals: Therapists work closely with paediatricians and psychiatrists, maintaining regular communication to ensure best practice.
