The School of Nursing, Union Hospital was established in 2007. Before its establishment, Union Hospital provided only clinical placement sites for various cohorts of nurse learners.
In 2011, the School of Nursing was accredited by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong as a Gazetted Nursing School for Enrolled Nurse Training. The School first launched its own Diploma in General Nursing (Enrolled Nurse) Programme in November 2011. The last class of the diploma programme has been completed.
In 2014, the School has stepped up to another milestone with a Higher Diploma in General Nursing (Enrolled Nurse) Programme which has been accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ) and the Nursing Council of Hong Kong (NCHK).
In 2018, the School would like to further enhance the professionalism of nurses, it has been granted by the NCHK and the HKCAAVQ to operate a new programme, with the medium of instruction as English, to better equip our EN graduates in providing high quality nursing service. [more]
