Beware of Impersonated Communication Accounts and Fraudulent Medical Documents

Recently, Union Hospital has identified several suspected cases in which scammers impersonate the hospital using various methods to deceive the public into providing money and personal information. These include:

• Impersonating communication accounts of the hospital’s service centers (such as WhatsApp), and promoting services such as “paid priority service”, “insider arrangements” and “one-stop medical services”;
• Forging hospital medical documents (such as “critical condition notices”).

Union Hospital hereby clarifies as follows:

1. No “Paid Priority Booking” or “Green Channel” Services 

   All medical appointments at Union Hospital are arranged strictly in accordance with established procedures, based on booking sequences and clinical urgency. The hospital does not provide any form of “paid priority service” or “green channels”. Furthermore, Union Hospital has not authorized any external intermediaries to manage appointments or collect any form of additional fees on its behalf.

2. Beware of Fraudulent Medical Documents Issued in the Name of the Hospital 

   Members of the public are advised to remain vigilant. Any documents purporting to be issued by Union Hospital (including but not limited to “critical condition notices” or “emergency surgery notifications”) that request advance payment or personal information should be treated as highly suspicious.

3. Official Contact Information 

   All our service centers and polyclinics maintain official contact numbers for appointment booking and enquiries. Please click here to view the official list of contact numbers. Any accounts using unauthorized contact numbers while impersonating Union hospital’s name, logo, brand or profile picture is fraudulent, and has no connection with the hospital.

4. Security of Official Website and Links

   Upon verification, Union Hospital’s official website (www.union.org) is operating normally. To the best of our knowledge and as of the date of this notice, all appointment links on the website are secure, the booking and enquiry information provided is accurate and reliable.

Union Hospital reserves the right to take legal action against any unauthorized or fraudulent acts.

Union Hospital urges the public to remain vigilant. Do not trust any unofficial contact numbers or messages from unknown sources. If you are asked to provide personal or medical information, or to make any payment, please verify all charges and service arrangements through the hospital’s official channels before taking any action.
