In response to the latest situation of COVID-19, Union Hospital has adopted the following measures:
All visitors are required to wear masks properly and receive body temperature screening and disinfect their hands at the Screening Station located at the designated entrance of the Hospital Building or Car Park Basement before getting into the Hospital.
People with fever OR acute respiratory symptoms OR pneumonia, AND visited *the countries / areas with active community transmission of COVID-19/ contacted any confirmed cases in the last 21 days before onset of symptoms; OR recovered COVID-19 patients within 4 weeks after discharge and without a valid negative re-testing result are considered as “high risk individuals”. They would be arranged for further assessment or referred to hospitals under the Hospital Authority for further management.
Tests for COVID-19 are available in our Emergency Medicine Centre. Daily quota is limited, please make an appointment in advance.
With effect from 1st December 2020, the following persons should possess a negative result of a valid COVID-19 PCR test performed in a testing institution recognized by the Hong Kong SAR Government within 72 hours before going to our hospital:
1.Patients to be admitted;
2.Patients to be unmasked during any procedures or treatments;
3. Visitors staying anywhere in our hospital for more than 1 hour (A chargeable COVID- 19 PCR test can be provided by our hospital);
Our hospital reserves the right to impose any new measures for special cases.
