Computed Tomography (CT) imaging utilises a series of images (using ionizing radiation), acquired from different angles around the body and uses computer processing to create cross-sectional and three dimensional (3D) images of bones, blood vessels and soft tissues within the body.
Union Imaging and Healthcheck Centre has installed state-of-the-art: GE Revolution CT scanner, which combines the most advanced computed tomography technologies into one CT scanner. It produces 256 slices with high definition Gemstone Detector, 16cm body coverage, and is able to cover an entire organ in a single rotation. This design enables better and more detailed image acquisition accurate diagnosis, and marked reduction in radiation.
