What to do if there is an ocular invasion of foreign objects?

Dr Chan Ka Moon
You should avoid rubbing your eyes it may damage your cornea. Instead, you should gently close your eyes for a while, as eyes would normally secrete a large quantities of tears to flush away foreign objects. You can also use eye lotion or saline solution to lubricate your eyes to relieve discomfort. If the pain is severe or persist, it maybe because foreign objects have penetrated the inside of the eye, or the objects have damaged some of your eye tissues. You should go to hospital immediately.
