Introduction

The School of Nursing, Union Hospital was established in 2007. Before its establishment, Union Hospital provided only clinical placement sites for various cohorts of nurse learners.

In 2011, the School of Nursing was accredited by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong as a Gazetted Nursing School for Enrolled Nurse Training. The School first launched its own Diploma in General Nursing (Enrolled Nurse) Programme in November 2011. The last class of the diploma programme has been completed.

In 2014, the School has stepped up to another milestone with a Higher Diploma in General Nursing (Enrolled Nurse) Programme which has been accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ) and the Nursing Council of Hong Kong (NCHK). Graduate students are eligible to apply for enrolment as Enrolled Nurse (General) with the Nursing Council of Hong Kong [more]
