Obstetrics and Gynaecology (O&G) is one of the popular services of Union Hospital. To accomplish high standards and quality of services, the hospital set up the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The Department aims at providing superb care with the aid of state-of-the-art medical technology under principles of clinical governance, and to ensure that every patient receives the most appropriate care. Our maternity and gynaecological services were accredited by the Hong Kong College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in August 2000 and in November 2003 respectively.

A full range of Obstetric and Gynaecological services are offered, including the management of special and complicated cases. These are managed by a dedicated team of experienced doctors and nursing staff. Different special interest clinics are also established such as Union Reproductive Medicine Centre, Cervical Disease Centre and Fetal Diagnosis and Therapy Centre to provide a full range of service related to Obstetrics & Gynaecology.

Obstetric Services

The comprehensive Obstetric (maternity) service of Union Hospital covers various maternity packages, antenatal check-up packages and classes on breast feeding advice/ post natal care, etc. To provide the utmost comfort and convenience to clients, delivery rooms are located just next to the nursery on the maternity floor, with homelike setting and modern facilities.

Gynaecological Services

The one-stop Gynaecological Services include routine well-woman examination covers history taking, clinical examination, ultrasound examination of the pelvis and cervical cytology screening. With the help of the state-of-art equipment, the department also performs minimally invasive therapy.
